Hello everyone! I know it has been a little while since I last blogged, but if you are following my social media accounts you'd know I've been busy working! The corporate world wasn't for me, and I had just started at a new studio in the area before this COVID-19 lockdown happened. Let's just all agree we are now super bored, everything in the house is clean, and we're all missing our families and friends! Once this is all over, lets make some art. Keep me in mind for any future photography needs, product, wedding or portraits.. I'm ready!

Thanks for the support everyone!

Alyssa + Sean - Paradise Studios

Part of my work as a photographer is second shooting and running a photobooth for Paradise Studios here in St. Pete.  Paradise specializes in the entire experience for your big day! Dj, Photobooth, Photography and Videography are offered, and chances are high that I will be doing one, if not two of the visual aspects of your big day when you book with them.

On July 7th, we spent the day with Alyssa and Sean, starting at the Harborside Chapel in Safety Harbor, and ending the night at Armature Works in Tampa. It was a beautiful, rainy Florida saturday, and everything went off without a hitch! The Chapel was decorated softly, with white roses dawning the aisles and bouquets, while the reception space was a little more rustic and moody. I loved photographing the contrast between the two, and hope to get back to Armature works again!

HOBBIES
Before I go into my career and my personal work, I wanna talk about some of my hobbies and passions OTHER THAN photography. First is fly fishing. I have only been fly fishing for 5 years or so, but I am thoroughly hooked. Every aspect of it, from tying or selecting the flies, to the hunt of the fish, the fight and finally the release. I'm really big on catch and release, making sure those fishes swim away healthy for someone else to catch later. Another thing I'm really into is the paranormal and cryptids. If it is haunted, or you've seen bigfoot there, I wanna go! I have a sixth sense for ghost hunting and can belt out a pretty good 'Squatch call! Hahah The last thing I wanted to touch base on is my watercolor painting. I've always loved to paint; on canvas, watercolor paper, ceramics, whatever! There are a few of my original works out there floating around that were purchased when I did the Indie Market's here in St. Pete. Someday I will get back into those.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Basically my entire career I have worked for other people. I've spent 9 years as a second shooter or assistant for multiple wedding photographers in the Bay Area, and you've probably seen me working once or twice on the beaches. 2 years were spent being yelled at by parents, taking high school senior portraits for yearbooks. I worked in a studio that photographed mainly children also for around 2 years, and most recently I was an editor and retoucher for a boudoir studio. Now I'm not saying that I have never booked my own clients, no thats not true.. I have done my own fair share of product photography, and family portraits for friends and my own family. I have also been published in a few print magazines (Tail Fins and Chrome and Gothesque) and have made my own photography books. Currently, I'm changing directions and working towards doing more commercial work within the fishing industry, where my passion really is.

FINE ART
Throughout my portfolio here you will see a few different types of portraiture spread around. As I am an artist at heart, I still love to photograph for local art showcases that have some specific themes, or sometimes I have a wild idea I just have to get out of my system. Flexing that creative muscle to the extreme without limitation really boosts my emotional state and gets the rest of the juices flowing. I love to make art, and truly every photograph I take has a sense of my artistic side to it.

THE BASICS
My name is Amanda Tisch, and my friends all call me Madi. I currently live in Seminole, Florida, but I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I moved to Florida in 2009 looking to get away from the cold, ice and snow that plagues the area for half the year it felt like. In 2006 I graduated from Antonelli College in Cincinnati with an AS in Photography, and shortly after I moved to Tampa Bay, I graduated from The Art Institute of Tampa in 2013 with a BFA in Digital Photography. I have an extensive background in film photography, as well as photoshop editing and retouching.

The reality here is I'm just trying to  have fun, take some photos and pay my bills. Catch all the fish, eat all the tacos and cheesecakes, pet all the dogs and squirrels, travel the country, and have fun. That's it.
